How Long at K99: Since the beginning. (Sept 87)
How did you get "Here": In the beginning when God created K99, I was there. I even worked at K99 before we played country music. I pretty much got the job by begging. I was a student at CSU and was working in fast food, so I was desperate to get a better job. Before I came to the Front Range I went to college at NJC in Sterling. While I lived there I worked at KMXX in Sterling as an afternoon DJ.
When I grow up I want to be a: I don't ever want to grow up because I would have to give up my job at K99.
Worst Job Ever: I drove a tractor for a farmer right out of High School. I know it's not right to hate people but I hated that man with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns.
Favorite Artists: Collins Raye, Dan Seals, Billy Joel, Beach Boys, Beatles, Ann Murray, Kenny Rogers, Elton John, The Cars and Eddie Rabbit.
Personal Quote: "When the chips are down, the buffalo is empty."
What do you do when you aren't here:I love to sit in front of a roaring fire and watch movies with my wife Jenny. We also like to go out to dinner. I am a huge football fan. I follow the Broncos, CSU Rams, CO Buffs and UNC Bears. I stink at golf and my wife always beats me.
Anything else to share with the 75,000 listeners: I love what I do. Every morning I can't wait to get to work so Brian and I can play. I love my job because every day is different. I never know what to expect. It's fun. Not everyone can say that about their job.
